Don't remember having stability issues. I just have not had the same
fortunate luck with it that I have had with ext3 and just thought it
would be best to caution someone with little knowledge/experience with
it to learn all they can before jumping in. I see Lindsay has already
chosen it and moved on so I wish her the best of luck!

At least she knows a good mailing list to get help on. :-)
