Are you thinking of issues with artsd, esoundd and their ilk where an
application would get an EBUSY error when trying to open the audio
device? That's not the problem I'm having. X and non-X applications
can open and use the audio device just fine. The problem is sound
doesn't come out the speakers when I'm switched to the X console.
