I've actually got one on a shelf...if you want to buy just email me.
Impressive piece of engineering - too bad Microsoft bought out the company
and killed the product..

Yup... looked at it a couple of years ago in regard to the consumer changers
that Sony sell... Unfortunately, the hardware has been discontinued for
several years now.

The XL1Bs are a different kettle of fish completely.. these are connected to
a PC by firewire only, and are 200 disk changers, with a burner built in.
The consumer changers that the slink-e works with are read only devices, and
have audio and video outputs to connect to your TV/Stack - there is no
connection to your computer (other than the slink serial type connection
that slink-e uses).

And I have a couple of the consumer changers in the basement too, waiting
for some time to do something with...:)

Have you looked at the slink-e ?/

Might do what you want and more (without a custom myth patch/interface)..

I'd be interested in this too... I have one of them here hooked to my Vista
Media Center PC (sorry), that I would like to be able to use when I move
over to Myth.

I finally received my 10 meter firewire cable and have my XL1B1 hooked up
(http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Sony_XL1B2). According to the wiki
there are patches for MythVideo to get some sort of support for it. Does
anyone have these patches? They don't appear to have ever been submitted to
trac.

If not, anyone know how I should start to implement or who has one of these
and would like to lend a hand? Looks like I need to run a command to scan
the DVD inventory, put what I find in the database, do a bulk imdb lookup of
all entries and instead of playing a file when selected, I need to issue a
load command with the appropriate slot number, then play the dvd in
/dev/dvdX. Then I also need a way to do an update scan when I add more discs
to the jukebox. Doesn't sound too hard. :)

Thanks,

Brad
