What they really want is to have people use Hulu ONLY for their
computers and mobile devices etc and NOT for their TVs. What they're
really doing however is taking a cue from the record companies by
shooting themselves in the foot in an attempt to gain more "control".

Does Hulu force ads into the content? If so I'm a bit perplexed as to
why they have an issue with Boxee using it. I can't help wondering if
the close partnership of NBC and Microsoft, combined with the fact
that Boxee is strictly Mac/Linux has at least something to do with it.
