I do remember the problem you have with memory leaks and mythtv
however I have had a myth system run with over 400 days of uptime
without this problem. At that time I was recording only analog from
multiple tuners however.

Also from my experience satellite and cable company STBs do reboot
themselves every once and a while this is probably for updates and
such but I think a planned reboot at 3AM once a week would not hurt.
