[mythtv-users] Track down unstable hardware?

If it is a Dell PC, then it may still have a special partition with
diagnostic tools on it. It can be started by pressing F12 as the PC powers
on. Then you can select "Diagnostics". From there it will boot to that
partition (provided it is still there). You can also boot to that partition
using grub.
If the partition isn't there anymore then you could see if Dell.com has a
tool on their website to restore this partition.
Some of the more recent Dell PCs are shipped with standard ATX power
supplies. I know the Optiplex GX620 comes with a standard power supply. Only
it's cable lengths are not standard (short!).
