Mark, with recent trunk I have not been able to get the "black  
screen", so you may have fixed this since the last time I tried it.   
Either that, or 180.27 fixed it.

That said, I still don't use VDPAU because I watch various things with  
timestretch turned on.  Watching a show at 1.5x using VDPAU (with  
VDPAU vsync), the audio quickly gets very out of sync with the video  
-- at least with 1080i material.  It does not always happen with 720p.

I really appreciate the work you and Isaac have done with VDPAU.  I  
look forward to the day that it is no longer "beta".
