On my TV I have the internal speaker shut off, all my sound goes through
the amp and external speakers.
If I press mute or volume keys on the remote for the TV, I get a message
saying the internal speaker is off.
So this is a normal thing to inform a user that the action that was
requested does not work due to the settings.
