[mythtv-users] Schedule for wakeup when slave backend is not running

Hi all,

I have a setup with a master backend in the living room, and the
generic-use PC in the study is configured as slave backend. Master and
slave have different types of tuners (DVB-C and analog), thus different
sets of channels. The master backend is able to wakeup the slave backend
using WOL, and both are shut down when there is nothing to do and noone
is logged in on the slave backend. So far so good.

But if the slave backend is not available, the master backend will not
correctly schedule the wakeup time for the next recording on the slave
backend. It ignores the channels which can only be recorded on the
offline slave backend.

Am I missing something? Should the slave backend schedule its own
wakeup? Or is there a way to tell the master backend to alter the
schedule algorythm?

Thanks for your help!
Arthur
