Thank you, I am logging in as the user that runs mythfrontend and I can
successfully play the roms from a terminal console. The permissions are all
correctly set:

> ls -la roms1
total 32812
drwxr-xr-x 2 spikey spikey 4096 2008-10-21 19:49 .
drwxr-xr-x 5 spikey spikey 4096 2008-10-21 19:56 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 spikey spikey 33554432 2008-10-21 19:49 Star Wars Episode I

There should not be any DB corruption since I started my entire database
from scratch with my re-install. Unless it somehow got corrupted by
attempting a scan early-on. I'm hoping that "Clear Game Data" will fix
whatever might occur if I happen to be killing the frontend in the middle of
a scan, even though it appears to be frozen. I think I'm going to try
updating my SVN version to latest trunk and see if that helps, if it doesn't
I'll try going backwards.

Those of you who have mythgame "scan for roms" working and use SVN
trunk: what revision are you using?

Thanks,
-Greg
