Well, I've held off emailing the list as long as possible...I've
followed quite a few leads from the list and many other googled
sources...
I've been running myth for about 4 years now, but I've run into and
issue that finally has me stumped.
Here is the lowdown.
I have fedora 9 running on an mac mini intel core duo. Everything
works great, but I can't get it to display on my TV.
I'm using a TOSHIBA 51HC58 projection monitor with a DVI to HDMI cable.
When I boot up, of course...it goes to a blank screen.
Looking at the xorg log, it detects two modes, 1920x540 and 720x480.
(When I boot into OS X it does 720p fine...)
xorg log info:
(II) intel(0): Modeline "1920x540"x0.0 74.25 1920 2008 2052 2200
540 542 547 562 interlace +hsync +vsync (33.8 kHz)
(II) intel(0): Modeline "720x480"x0.0 27.00 720 736 798 858 480
489 495 525 -hsync -vsync (31.5 kHz)
(II) intel(0): EDID vendor "TSB", prod id 257

(II) intel(0): Using hsync ranges from config file
(II) intel(0): Using vrefresh ranges from config file
(II) intel(0): Printing DDC gathered Modelines:

Playing around in the xorg.conf file, I can specify a 720x480 mode,
and it does come up on the screen.
If I go into the GNOME GUI resolution settings, I can change it
successfully to 1920x540, but I get vertical scaling issues, HD
recordings/fonts/coverart are stretched bad, but standard def
recordings appear fine. Searching I, I found this thread, but was
unsuccessful playing with DisplaySize.

The only way I can specify xdpyinfo output is if I specify 720x480 in
my xorg.conf.
I feel like I'm beating a dead horse, as I've seen similar questions
on the list, but this one has me confused.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Bob
