[mythtv-users] form problems - settings table entries

I'm running MythTV from the SVN trunk and am having some issues with the forms that the back/front-end present to you in order to configure various MythTV settings. For example, the form that allows you to set/configure sound settings is pretty messed up. Some of the text fields inputs and sliders are about 2-3 pixels high and are pretty much impossible to interact with via the on-screen gui. I've started interacting with some of these settings by directly accessing the mythconverg.settings table via phpMyAdmin.

I have two questions...

1. Is there a way to fix the form issues?
2. Is there any documentation that explains what each configuration directive found in the mythconverg.settings table is?
