Yep, all the drives I've ever ordered from Newegg have always been
packed very well. Either packed in a plastic clamshell then wrapped in
bubble wrap in a box full of peanuts, or the drive is wrapped in an
anti-static bag, wrapped in bubble wrap in a box full of peanuts.

Only had one drive shipped that way that died shortly after purchase -
coincidentally it was a 1TB Seagate 7200.11 drive - also running the
SD25 firmware. I bought two at the same time for a software RAID1
array, the other is still running fine after 6 months or so now as is
it's replacement which I got a week later. The dead 7200.11 drive
started showing tons of incorrectable sectors after 3-4 days of
operation and quickly failed SMART status.
