[mythtv-users] No DVD audio--missing codec? SOLVED

No missing codecs. Everything plays fine outside of Myth. Not sure of the
root cause but I solved it by finally doing an svn update. I tried updating
all the way to trunk but even though Synaptic shows all is well with QT4 no
joy. I backed up to changeset 16700 (chosen somewhat at random but after
16578 where I was at and before 16790 when QT4 became necessary) and all is
well again.

Ah, the joys of linux...

Subject: No DVD audio--missing codec?

DVD playback results in no audio. Internal player, 0.22 build 16578, Ubuntu
8.04.

It ran fine in Ubuntu 7.10.

The internal player plays the video just fine, accesses DVD menus just fine,
all controls work OK, just no audio.

Live TV and recorded TV work OK both video and audio.

DVDs play fine in Totem or Mplayer.

I'm thinking a codec went missing in the upgrade to 8.04, but how to tell
which one and how best to reload it? (libdvdcss2 went missing but I caught
that one).

Below are some relevant snippets of the mythfrontend log (set to "verbose
all").

Thanks for taking a look,

Scott
