[mythtv-users] Help: No program info for QAM256 channels

Don't mean to hijack, but I think this post is somewhat relevant to this
thread. While I'm not trying to add everything from scratch, I am trying
to add some new in-the clear QAM HD channels that Silicon Dust's site says
are unencrypted that are not currently in my "unenecrypted" list that I
used for my QAM tuners (two pcHD5500s).

I have entered the channel data (using the channel editor) for two of
these channels using the XMLTV ids and other info gleaned from a few
sites. I enetered them into both the "unencrypted" source list and the
"everything" list I use for the STB.

I then ran "mythfilldatabase --refresh-all".
Unfortunately, I now have every channel available from Time-Warner Cable
in all three of my channel lists...ugh! (one was analog-only channels,
one was clear QAMs, and one was everything available (STB only)...!
Luckily, I backed up the database before doing this. How to I refresh
each list without running into this problem? Do I have tochange my
Schedules Direct profile three times, every time I add channels to the
"Clear" list?

Anyway...I now have the channel data and listings. However - the channels
will not tune. One the QAM tuners I get a time-out ("You should have
gotten a channel lock by now....") and from the STB I get static.

Here's a snippet from mythbackend.log (this was when I tried it with one
of the QAM tuners):

2008-05-26 12:22:41.455 TVRec(1): HW Tuner: 1->1
2008-05-26 12:22:41.638 DVBChan(1:0) Error: SetChannelByString(408):
Failed to initialize multiplex options
2008-05-26 12:22:41.639 TVRec(1) Error: Failed to set channel to 408.

I notice that when setting up the new channel in the editor, in the third
page there is an entry for "exact frequency". I have no clue as to the
frequency (MHz) that these use. Would this be what the scanner picks up
during a raw scan ("79#0")?

Also - since updating to 0.21 I find that the channel editor in MythWeb no
longer saves ANY changes I make. It worked fine in 0.20. I can use
Mythweb to schedule/delete/change recordings, so I don't think it's a
permission issue. Anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks
Bob
