This article, http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2886, from  
2006 says anything above an E6700 should do the trick for video (see  
the last chart on page 4).

I'm running an E6750 with integrated intel graphics (ie, no  
acceleration) and I've never had trouble with any of the 1080p 264  
movie trailers I've downloaded. I've never tried with full-rate blue  
ray video and can't say anything about audio decoding.
