Carl,

Correct you will only need to encode using the main cpu if you are
using the analog tuner/capture portion of the stick. If you just use
the ATSC/Digital portion the devices works almost exactly like a
network device it gets the mpeg stream(s) off the air and dumps them
to disc using a very negligible amount of cpu.

Now for a question of my own, has any one tried/is it possible to
capture from ATSC and the analog tuner/capture simultaneously?
