[mythtv-users] migrate slave backend

I have a bunch of recording on the slave and the recorded table of the
database has a hostname for each of these recordings. So one would think
that changing the hostname for each of these might be a good idea. However
now that we have storage groups and the fact that myth will search for a
recording among those specified directories, I don't think the hostname
matters that much. Am I correct in this?

So all I think I really need to do is move the tuner, video card and hard
drive from the old slave to the new one and setup a myth slave as usual.

Am I missing anything else?

I really didn't want to do this myth change now, but a friend is having some
computer problems and if she is down long she might lose her part time job.
So I was going to let her borrow one. She is on SS disabilty and she isn't
likely to afford a new machine for quite some time and that so called
stimulas check is already partly spent catching up on bills. Her work is
very important to her personally and the little bit of money she gets
helps. The problem is I may not get the machine back and I would rather
not lend her (likely to become give) her my fastest machine. Damn I hate
being such a nice guy sometimes.
