I already proposed one, I just don't have the skills to do it. There are
several  plugins for Myth that will let it advertise shows via RSS, and
there is  at least one project-that-shall-not-be-named that I know of that
will let you pull rss'ed videos directly into Myth. The project is now dead
but it was at least a usable proof of concept.

It's a feasible option and coule be integrated directly into Myth's front
end or as a standalone GUI with a nice UI that could plop the shows into
Myth. It's just such a grey area as far as legality and copyright
infringement that nobody will officailly produce such a project.

How fast is your VPN and how far away is it? Could you get away with port
forwarding across the router / firewall?
