You need ~/.mythtv/config.xml to be present in order for the Perl API
to work. For some unknown reason the UPnP does not work.

Note for others: if you're getting this error at login (ie. in your
motd), check that root's home dir contains the file
(/root/.mythtv/config.xml). In Mythbuntu, the motd is re-generated by
a cron job which runs as root.
