I cannot cosign on that.  I run HD on an XP 1800+ processor frontend 
using XVMC that scales HD down to SD.  It's able to stream the data over 
the network and play it fine.  There is a slight hiccup when the stream 
first starts but that last for like 2 seconds and then it's fine after 
that.  Best part is that I only have to use XVMC for HD content, 0.21 
allow me to set it to automatically switch decoders depending on source 
resolution.
