The biggest factor I've discovered (both on the list and from personal
experience) is display resolution. As I've said on a previous post, my
system is a Sempron 64 (running F8/x86_64) 3000+ (1.8GHz) and it is
barely able to play HD content at 720x480. I have problems using the
EPG 720p (slow to respond to remote) and I can only use up to the
Linear deinterlacer for 1080i content.
In contrast, my desktop Althlon 3000+ using Mplayer can not playback
720p content at full resolution.
