No, there are 'soft' mods that don't require a modchip, depends on the
version of xbox as to how hard it is.

IIRC you need the xbox remote but i could be wrong.

I didn't really try but seeing as it will quite happily play dvd's and
media files as std I don't see why not.

No, Wired only.

Bear in mind that the version of mythtv has to be *identical* (not just
the same major version) so you may need to compile from scratch rather
than use packages.
Do some research on which models are easiest to soft-mod and get the
correct revision, IIRC later ones (1.6?) are harder. I can't recall how
you soft mod them but it might require a specific game and memory card.
