[mythtv-users] New Frontend, Any gotchas with Compact Flash storage

I was wondering...will any CF-to-IDE adapter work under linux or only
certain brands/models?

I've been running a diskless FE for a month, and it works great so far
with one exception. When I tried using mytharchive and it was copying
5 gigs from the recordings folder to it's temp folder, that
monopolized the network connection almost completely. When I switched
screens in myth (letting the archiving work in the background) it
would sometimes take 20-30 seconds to load the xml file so it could
display the new screen. I also tried launching a script from my
remote. I pressed the button and nothing happened. Then several
minutes later, after the copying was finished, the script suddenly
launched.

I've also experienced one other problem, but I'm not yet sure if it's
caused by being diskless (the system occasionally doesn't wake up from
suspend to ram)
