I also think MythTV falls in to the category of 'too dumb to care', much
like the XP MCE people and the broadcast flag incident a few weeks ago
(Vista failed to record, XP did as it was told). 

Its not that it doesn't honour the flags, it just doesn't understand
them to begin with.
