[mythtv-users] lirc problems. can't transmit to set top box

Yes, I have all you have listed below, except my
/home/mythtv/.myth/lircrc is called:
/home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc

and /home/mythtv/.lrcrc is a sym. link to above.

Not sure if that makes a difference. 

The comment on the top of the file says:
MythTV LIRC config file for the gray Hauppauge remote

I'm not sure if I need to have two lircd's running if
my IR Blaster transmitter and receiver are on the same
TV card (e.g., not a separate serial IR transmitter).

I tried running two lircd's.  When I run irsend on one

of the processes I get:

irsend: could not connect to socket
irsend: Connection refused

When I run it on the other process, I get:
irsend: hardware does not support sending

Any suggestions?
