More or less. Of the three walls that the living room consists of, two
of them are along the foundation, one of them is a shared wall for the
garage (essentially an outside wall), and the last wall is the opposite
side of where the television and A/V kit is located, as well as the
existing jack.

DSL modem in bedroom

Main switches, wireless AP's and servers in said bedroom (much to the
dismay of my wife)

CAT-5 run from the bedroom to the other rooms, hung from the ceiling
with coax hangers

One of the 'when I have the spare dosh/time' projects is to do a proper
wiring of the house.

While I do have a good crawlspace (room enough for me to get on my hands
and knees in places, and I'm far from a small person), due to the
location of the walls and foundation, plugging in a splitter under the
house and running a cable to the living room isn't any easier than just
drilling a new hole in the outside wall.
