[mythtv-users] Questions about udev and /dev/video* ...

Know this is a mythtv and not a udev list, but was wondering if any had
and already solved this problem on their mythtv box?...

I have a PVR250 NTSC and KWorld 110 ATSC tuner in my mythtv box. The
PVR250 had a tendency to boot up with different /dev/video* names. So,
I used a udev rule to create a permanent device name and link it to the
/dev/video* device. The problem is that the created permanent device
name links to the wrong device. For instance, I will find /dev/pvr250
linked to /dev/video24 after boot up. This doesn't work. But if I
manually remove /dev/pvr250 and re-link it to /dev/video0, all is well.

So, does anyone know why this is happening?
