[mythtv-users] 1080p choppy playback

While playing "My Name is Earl" (NBC 1080i) and running top as root, 
 
Cpu(s): 53.1%us, 8.4%sys, 0.0%ni, 28.4%id, 11.8%wa, 0.3%hi, 0.3%si, 0.0%st
Mem: 514668k total. 508852 used, 66428k free, 180k buffers
Swap: 1048568k total, 372680k used, 675888k free, 190056k cached
 
mythfrontend is using 77-82% CPU, Xorg is using 35-37% & Mythbackend is using 7-12%.
 
Do I need more RAM? It looks like I am using swap and I never used to do that before. This is the master backend and serves content (only music and MPEG-4 movies) to 2-3 remote frontends?
