How are you changing to the correct channel on your decoder?
Generally people have mythtv run a script which fires off an
ir-blaster to change channel using the ir input on the decoder. This
script returns 'true' to let mythtv know the channel change has been
successful.
If you're setting the channel manually (you haven't mentioned how
you're doing it) then you need a dummy script that always returns
true. The settings are somewhere in the card setup area of
mythtv-setup.
