Except it's not "Apple" hardware. It is infact "PC" hardware.

So yes there will be "PC" drivers. They will be targeted for a
particualar "PC" OS. However, the fact that they are generic is
VERY relevant. That means that I can share the community support
and knowledge of everyone that runs a laptop with the i945 in it.
Sometimes, the experiences of Windows users can be useful.

That wide interest will help ensure that drivers exist and might
even lead to those drivers being available from the manufacturer.

Taking the notion that "apple drivers are better" as an article
of faith just isn't justified. They need to earn their reputation
like anyone else (like ATI for example).
