Which nvidia graphics chipset is on that motherboard? The 8.10 Mythbuntu
release has issues with some of the nvidia chipsets. (on a GeForce 8200
MB the installer wanted to use nv, but it does not yet support the 8200)
You can also try the safe graphics mode install. If that does not work
then the easiest may be the alternate install cd. There are many
different tweaks that can be done to the regular graphical CD, but the
alternate is probably easier.
