[mythtv-users] Myfrontend crashing

Brief background, I came home one day to a combined FE-BE running .21 to 
discover it couldn't find any recorded files.
I took this opportunity to replace the ancient 10gig IBM boot disk with 
a new 320 gig disk.  Used DD to copy, couple commands to make the new 
drive boot, removed old drive and *looked like* all I needed to do was 
restore database.

Well, I did that, but it still won't run.
Two things,

1) if I go into mythtv-setup I can step through all the screens, they 
have correct info, but it hangs on input sources when I fetch lineups 
from Schedule Direct.
2) frontend crashes when I enter any menu.

I see all this about can't find theme directory, I have reinstalled darn 
near everything, including all the themes, to no avail.
there is no directory /home/mythtv/.mythtv/themes

Right now I'm wondering if I didn't do something right when I copied to 
old drive to new one.  In the abscence of any suggestions, I'm inclined 
to wipe the system completely, reinstall OS and Myth and restore 
database again.
