Sounds more like a driver module problem than a myth problem. Do you
use the machine for other things? In my experience 3GB is plenty or
RAM for mythtv and the benefits of 64bit over 32bit are marginal.

It works fine for the most part, but there's a long lag between pressing a button on the STB remote (e.g., changing channel, getting program info) and seeing the result on TV. I've observed it can take as long as 30 seconds. I can sort of "clear" it by switching out of LiveTV and back in again. I take it this is due to LiveTV buffering of some sort? Is there a way to reduce this lag? By reducing the amount of programming it buffers, perhaps? I don't see a way to adjust this though.

Again this doesn't really sound like a mythtv issue. If I understand
you correctly myth is unaware of the channel change so the delay is
caused by your capture card card driver coping with the garbage that
comes out of your STB when it changes channels.

The standard mythtv configuration would be to fix your capture card
(using mythtv-setup) to channel 3 and then let mythtv do the channel
change. (Of course you'll need a serial connection or IR-Blaster to
achieve this, so it may not suit your needs). Myth will then manage
your capture card during the channel change. In this configuration,
channel change speeds for Live TV tend to be in the 2s - 5s range,
with some people reporting longer.

Yes, see above.

I go into Manual Schedule, set the channel (i.e., channel 3 as what the STB outputs on), set the time and duration, set Record Only This Showing in Recording Options and save these settings. But, nothing shows up on the Upcoming Recording page. It keeps saying I haven't scheduled any recording. What am I missing?

Listing data?

The behaviour of mythtv is a bit unpredictable if you don't have any
schedule information in the database, particularly if you're expecting
it to behave like a dumb VCR.
