[mythtv-users] problem after Ubuntu 7.10 -> 8.04 upgrade

Similar results from my 7.10 to 8.04 upgrade. The MythTV frontend gives 
lots of black but I also get stuttering playback - 2 seconds playing 
then 10 seconds pause.

So far there are three people on this list with similar issues after a 
Gutsy to Hardy upgrade.
