I have a via based mb and everything works fine except for the sata_via ports, 
including the 2 PVR-150, and HD-5500 cards, I had to buy a separate SATA card 
for the disks.   My sata_via ports failed to fully find the drivers (kernel saw 
them but aborted real early).
