To be completely  honest. For years we had dozens of via based boards
since I only buy AMD chips (well since the Athlon 750) it was not
until the last 3 years till I began buying nVidia ones for the desktop
(windows and linux) and a mix for servers (linux only). For the most
part at work we have had good success with these boards. But at home
with cheap via boards I have had only problems. The good thing is
these were from machines I paid little or nothing for so ...
