this TV does not have DVI, just HDMI and VGA (DB-15)

p.s. do we really need to swear here? I understand some of this stuff
can be frustrating, but please try not to vent your anger in such ways
on this list.

component, while being able to handle a 1080p signal, isn't
technically supposed to support it, even though some manufacturers
allow their hardware to support it. (See Xbox 360). HDMI input does
support all the HDTV standard resolutions, and many of the *VGA
resolutions.

again, DB-15, not DVI....

I don't see why your so hesitant to use HDMI to get HD resolution to
the TV, I use HDMI and it works fine, and if you need a cheap cable go
to http://www.monoprice.com
