Thanks for that all working now I think.

 

I ended up creating an @Reboot cron to mount my /storage from my backend via
smbfs which isn't having the permissions problems nfs was having

just put some random character in the mixer field - I was stumped on that
for quite a while - before I found that answer and then it worked.
