[mythtv-users] Video jerky at 800x600, but not 1024x768

I have an output-to-TV component that requires the screen resolution to
be set to 800x600 to work. At 800x600, video playback is jerky, but at
1024x768 it's fine. I have a Hauppage WinTV PVR-250. I'm running
Gentoo Linux. Here's my info:

camille ~ # uname -a
Linux camille 2.6.22-gentoo-r5 #1 SMP Fri Sep 14 09:53:08 CDT 2007 i686
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
camille ~ # emerge -pv mythtv ivtv

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] media-tv/mythtv-0.20.2_p14324 USE="alsa dvb dvd ivtv
jack joystick lirc mmx opengl perl vorbis (-altivec) -autostart
-backendonly -crciprec -dbox2 -debug -directv -dts -freebox
-frontendonly -hdhomerun -ieee1394 -lcd -xvmc" VIDEO_CARDS="i810 via
-nvidia" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] media-tv/ivtv-1.0.2 USE="-fbcon" 0 kB

Total: 2 packages (2 reinstalls), Size of downloads: 0 kB

Can anyone give me any advice as to how to fix this?
