[mythtv-users] Tweaking video cards

Since the latest kernel, I've been having problems
with tweaking my video cards before starting mythtv. I
have mythbackend start on boot. The one card is a ATI
TV Wonder (video1) and the other is Kworld ATSC-110.
In my rc.local I use to have

/usr/bin/ivtv-tune -c 7 -d /dev/video1 #set the
channel
/usr/bin/v4lctl -c /dev/video0 volume mute off
/usr/bin/v4lctl -c /dev/video1 volume mute off
/usr/bin/v4lctl -c /dev/video0 volume 70% #get the
volume level closer to video1

Since this started causing problems, I made a separate
script and call it when mythbackend starts but it
didn't solve the problem. What happens is that when I
look under system status it says Tuner 1 (ATI) is busy
so this means I've got to kill the mythbackend process
and let it restart by the cron watchdog I setup to
make sure the backend is always running. Being busy
doesn't happen on every boot though.

Does anyone have any pointers on what's causing the
tuner to be busy?
