Sounds like you're sending 32kHz audio to a sound card that requires 
48kHz audio.

Easy fix: change your capture settings to capture audio at 48kHz.  Real 
fix: configure your sound card appropriately (see 
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Configuring_Digital_Sound --even 
for analog sound).
