[mythtv-users] New portable video player (iPod?) export script

Justin, thanks for contributing this. It seems to be just what I need
for my new iPhone.

I've been playing with your script on my Mythbox but have run into two
issues. I'm running a recent SVN install on a Fedora Core 6 box with
storage groups set up (the main reason I'm running an SVN build)
across two drives.

The first problem seems to be with finding the second directory of the
storage group. When I run the script on a recording that is stored on
the second drive, I get the following in the log:

2007-11-04 16:38:49.129 JobQueue: Started "Myth iPod Export" for
"American Masters" recorded from channel 1011 at Sun Nov 4 14:30:00

Usually that means that input file is truncated and/or corrupted.

The script should have looked at /video2/store/1011_20071104143000.mpg

If I run the script against recordings stored in the /video/store
directory (Drive #0 in the storage group) the script works as

The second problem is probably self-inflicted, but doesn't seem to be
considered in the way your script works. I've run the mythrename.pl
script in the /contrib directory to get some easy-to-read filenames.
These are mainly older files, but your script is assuming the
Myth-generated filenames and throws another I/O error, as it us unable
to find the renamed .mpg files.

Let me know if you need more info from me. I'm guessing that the
first issue is solvable, but the second might take some heavy lifting.

Thanks again,
