I've had exactly the same thing in a beta release of MythDora 4. The 
cause of the problem was the installation of video4linux
Removing that package solved everything.

According to the MythDora site video4linux is needed for the PVR-350. I 
guess that has something to do with the video out on that card. Can't 
help you more on that department.

Have you considered using MythDora 4?
