I have done the following tests starting the backend using this
command "mythbackend -v all > mythbackend.log". I have saved the
backend.log and whatever was printed to the terminal not the log but I
have only posted snippets on lines that I think could indicate a
problem. Obviously if someone needs to see the full files I will post
them.

Could someone advise on what I should do next in trying to solve this
problem or bug - is it something that needs adding to trac?

*(crash times can be different but usually always within 30 minutes)
Five lasted for 16 minutes before crashing the backend
Five Life lasted for 15 minutes before crashing the backend
abc1 lasted for 8 minutes before crashing the backend
QVC lasted for 12 minutes before crashing the backend

Other channels on other multiplexes are much more reliable I have left
them for 2 hours without them crashing the backend. On a rare
occasion one of the working channels may freeze but the backend does
not segment fault (this could have just been one of my other tuners is
on a channel with the problem).
