N.B. This is probably something for the KnoppMyth forum rather than this list.
The broadcast address is likley going to be 192.168.2.255 for your
particular configuration.

Without knowing your exact network configuration (number of NICs,
connection to internet), you might want to use the network
configuration tool to give eth0 the address you really intend to give
it - as you state you intended to give it the address 192.168.2.20 but
gave it the router address of 192.168.2.44 instead.
