You're right - it does sem to be getting some stray signals. However,
by using raw mode (--force) I was able to get it to the point where it
asks for button names etc. However, I thought when you completed that
all the button names and corresponding signals were supposed to be in
the conf file - but when I completed it none of the buttons had been
added to the file. The conf file basically started and ended up like
this:

begin remote

  name /tmp/universal.conf
  flags RAW_CODES|CONST_LENGTH
  eps 30
  aeps 100

  ptrail 0
  repeat 0 0
  gap 44900

      begin raw_codes

      end raw_codes

end remote

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong now?

Regards,
Phill
