[mythtv-users] mythwelcome hard locks my pc

It is really hard to describe this bug: at random my computer freezes (a real 
hard lock, i have to shut it down pushing the power button for 5 seconds - no 
ssh, no pings) when mythwelcome is running. Everything runns fine when 
mythfrontend is in foreground, but not with mythwelcome. The freeze happens 
at random: sometimes it works for hours and then the computer shuts down 
cleanly with mythshutdown when the recording stops, and sometimes (about 90% 
of the time) the computer hard locks in the middle of a recording or before 
shutdown. There is nothing in the logs that would help me, and I am really 
lost about how to debug this problem.

This is on Ubuntu 6.10 with mythtv svn revision 13150 (but it happens 
with -fixes too, I updated in the hope the bug gets away, but no luck).
kernel 2.6.17-11 with ubuntu patches.
The freeze happens only with mythwelcome, so I suppose it is really a 
mythwelcome bug.

Does this happen to someone else too?
