Just FYI, I was using the AGPGART driver before reading this but am
now using the NVIDIA one by turning putting agp=off in
/boot/grub/menu.lst and setting the NvAGP option to 1 in xorg.conf .
However it made no diff to my frames per second - it was 1007 before
and it's 1007 after.
