[mythtv-users] mythtv playing recording too fast on FC6

I setup my PVR-350 based system fresh with FC6 using Jared Wilson's
guide last month. However, I started having the speed problem on my
system after I ran updates in the first week of March. After reading
messages from Fred and some others and comparing versions and such, it
is clear the problem is with the video4linux kernel module.
Specifically, it is with the atrpms version 20070302-78 of the
video4linux kmdl. I solved the problem by installing the 20061107-77
version of the module. I then ran "/sbin/depmod -a" and rebooted. The
skipping video disappeared and the chipmunks went home. (I'm using
kernel 2.6.19-1.2911.6.5 and ivtv 0.10.1, so those are both fine).

I'm lazy, so I found using the older package easier than compiling
anything as Fred did, but he got me pointed in the right direction.

Thank you everyone,
Dan
